Sake to Stuffed Mushrooms
Caramelized Stuffed Mushrooms with Sausage and Parmesan Prep to finish time: 1 Hour Servings: 2 Appetizer
Ingredients
1 - sweet Italian sausage 3 – Baby Portobello’s mushrooms, stem removed and cleaned ½ - cup Sake to Me Marinade Original 1 – tablespoon butter 3 – tablespoons parmesan
Directions
In a small zip-lock bag, place all Portobello’s with ½ cup marinade sealed in the fridge to marinate 30 min.
Next cut skin off Italian sausage and put in medium size bowl. Then add 2 tablespoons of parmesan and 1 tablespoon of Sake to Me Original. Mix well and refrigerate.
Start BBQ and turn on low.
When mushrooms are done marinating, be careful not to discard marinade, you will use it later. Stuff mushrooms with fixture.
Make a double layer tinfoil tray about 1½ foot long and place mushrooms in the middle. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and the leftover marinade from bag. Bring tinfoil ends together and crease. You can crease short ends last. Make sure no air gets in. It should look like a boat.
Place tinfoil boat directly on grill and cover for 10 minutes on low. When time is up, place boat on top rack of grill and cover for another 10 min on low.
After a total of 20 min. is up, take off grill and cool a couple minutes being careful of steam when opening. Marinade should be caramelized like syrup around mushrooms. Baste syrup on top of mushrooms. Sprinkle a little parmesan on them and enjoy!
